Art can give energy, light and oxygen to the soul, all received via the eye. With art you don't need words. It is another language. One that speaks to your heart, soul or spirit. 

Art can touch, inspire & empower you. 

Art can be a gate to another world of imagination and of the subconsciousness. It can give you a clear thought, idea, emotion or inspiration. It can show you other insights and give you an escape from reality as well...

For sure paintings or sculptures can give a soul to a space. It can add a lot to your home or garden. Often the purchased art has a symbolic meaning to the owner. 

I love to add this spark of light to the world. Not only by creating my own art and exhibiting it in the gallery in Competa, but also by giving other artists space and exposure for their art. For the collection and exhibitions in the gallery I do select on quality, professionalism and authenticity.

The artists who we are representing are from various countries. Art has no boundaries!

Lieuwke Loth Artist

Besides drawings and paintings I also make bronze sculptures. I transform my ideas into different materials. While creating works of art I listen to my inner guide and intuition. My creations are the expression of my feelings and imagination.

My work has a primitive appearance, often with a symbolic or mythical meaning. I am always looking for the soul in the art object. And if it starts to communicate with me I know my drawing or sculpture is doing what it should do. In my experience my artworks can be a gateway to another world – a world rooted in the subconscious and in the heart.

Connection

In my artwork I combine animal shapes and characters of animals with human features and characteristics. This represents the connection between nature and all human beings. When showing my work, I hope it incites each and everyone to find a spark of harmony, peace, light or happiness.

In 2001, I finished my studies at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.

At this moment sculptures and drawings from my hand are displayed in the gallery 'Luz de la Vida' in the picturesque Andalusion village Cómpeta, Spain. You are most welcome!

I invested a lot of energy, time and dedication to organise art events like International Symposium Luz, Art Days and the Cómpeta Art Walk.

It is no less a creative process: putting all ingredients together to create a successful and memorable event for everyone.

I love to see how events like these inspire – both exposing artists and visiting art lovers. These art events have a way of connecting people, and they bring inspiration, joy, and heaps of new contacts.
